BIBLE STUDY SUNDAY HELD
The National Union of Presbyterian Students-Ghana (NUPS-G), UCC Local, has held their Bible Studies Sunday, with a charge on members to be true ambassadors of Christ wherever they find themselves.
The service, facilitated by Bible Study Coordinators, was on the theme, "A Call to Discipleship. with the scriptures taken from Matthew 28:10, 16-20; Mark 3:13-15, Acts 26:15-18; and Matthew 3:13-15. Members were organised in seven groups according to their respective Day of birth.
Some participants shared with the news team what they learnt from the study. A member indicated that it was fundamentally established that Christians are disciples of Christ who are also mandated to make disciples for God and thus it is their responsibility to bring into God’s light the souls who are in darkness.
Another mentioned that He is admonished to hold unto and internalise the teachings of Christ and exhibit His nature to all. Another member reported that the study assured her about the omnipresence of Christ, no matter what challenges she goes through. She is assured that God is with her always and in everything she does.
Summing up, the Bible Study Coordinator assured all members that Christ will be there to give them strength in their weakness, give them courage in their shyness and give them all other resources and giftings requisite for them to be made true disciples for him. Members were also challenged to live a life that will position them for God to make them good ambassadors for Christ to be seen in them.
After the Bible Studies, a member from each group shared with the union lessons they learnt in their group. The service also witnessed spirit-filled song ministrations from the Union’s Choir and Jewels of His Crown Ministry.
The service also witnessed the official launch of Baselfest 2018 by the Baselfest 2018 Committee. Members were gorgeously dressed in beautiful apparels. The Chairperson of the Committee and Secretary of the Union, Miss Grace Afriyie Osei, admonished all and sundry to participate in the three-day revival program and patronise the souvenirs produced for the program. The theme for the program, she intimated, is "Beholding His Glory (2 Cor. 3:18)" and the Guest Artistes for the Basel Praise program are Rev. Bruce Ghartey (Uncle Ato), Baako Junior and Selaise Bright. She concluded by also launching the slogan for the program.
In attendance were the Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Amoani, and National Service Personnel and alumni on campus.
